It started with our own family.
Popsicle.Asia was founded by Maureen Knight, who grew up in Moscow, Russia, where winter temperatures regularly fall below freezing. Her husband is from London, and together they understood the challenge of preparing a family for cold-weather travel.
As their children visited grandparents overseas during the winter holidays, they found themselves buying winter jackets, snow pants, boots, hats, gloves and scarves year after year.
Before long, their home in tropical Singapore was filled with bulky winter clothing that was rarely used. To make matters worse, the children often outgrew their winter wear before the next trip.
It simply didn’t make sense.
Quality winter clothing is expensive, takes up valuable storage space, and may only be worn for a few days each year. Yet travelling without the right gear can turn an exciting holiday into an uncomfortable experience.
So in 2014, Maureen founded Popsicle.Asia to give Singapore families a smarter option: access to high-quality, stylish winter and ski wear for babies, children and adults — without the cost, clutter and waste of buying everything new.
